Kickoff of ADA Legacy Tour in Houston is Great Success!

The ADA Legacy Tour kicked off in Houston, TX July 25th - 27th, 2014

The first phase of The ADA Legacy Tour kicked off on Friday, July 25th, 2014 at the Abilities Expo. Lex Frieden, Director of the Independent Living Research Utilization Program and one of the chief architects of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), led a press conference to open the Tour. Houston Mayor Annise Parker issued a proclamation honoring the 24th anniversary of the ADA.

The ADA Legacy Tour exhibit featured The ADA Bus, an artifact from the 2006 Road to Freedom Tour.

Visitors of the Tour enjoyed dispalying free temporary tattoos with the ADA25 logo and the ADA25 slogan, "disability rights ARE civil rights!"
